Welcome to the Mid-Western Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Our region conference will be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, March 29, 2012 – April 1, 2012. I hope you will join us in our celebration of over 82 years in the Mid-Western Region, covering the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, the western part of Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming. This year is our second year under the leadership of International President Mrs. Carolyn House Stewart, Esq. and her Global Leadership through Timeless Service program initiatives. Our conference theme of Taking Global Leadership to New Heights is to encourage us to find new ways to extend our leadership impact.

Thanks to our hostesses,  the Colorado Chapters, for all of the planning and preparation that goes into a successful conference. I enthusiastically look forward to meeting each of you in the heights of Colorado Springs! The best is yet to come.
